The Department of ENT provides a full range of medical and surgical services for pediatric and adult patients with Ear Nose, Throat and head & neck disorders and diseases. The Department has a strong commitment to the maintenance of safety and quality standards. We provide round the clock emergency services 5 days of Outpatient Services per week. The department is headed by one of the senior most ENT specialists in Pakistan. g. Department provides state of the art facilities and advanced Ear, Nose and Throat surgical procedures such as septorhinoplasty, microlaryngeal surgery, microscopic ear surgery, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), esophagoscopy and bronchoscopy. We also provide treatment in head and neck surgeries such as thyroidectomy, submandibular gland excision, parotid surgery, laryngectomy and head & neck tumor surgery. We are using the innovative methods for teaching undergraduate students like Case Based Learning (CBL) Small Group Discussions, Flip Classroom, WPBA. We use videos for teaching surgical procedures and provide e-library facility for students. Medical students are expected to perform clinical skills, to take part in, and to observe and assist in activities performed by the consultants. We provide hands on training to students in second for history taking and examination of ENT patients. Fourth year medical students are required to present topics and expected to demonstrate their ability to adequately present management plans for patients under the supervision by consultants. Fourth year medical students are expected to learn to manage tracheostomy. All students are given exposure to clinical such as ear suction clearance, otoscopy, anterior and posterior nasal packing, interpreting audiograms, Valsalva’s maneuver.
